For those of you following Ruby's story.....here is an update! Ruby is a one year old female boxer. She came to us with horrific scabbed wounds all over her body but mostly on her face.She has been diagnosed with Cutaneous Histiocytosis. This is a rare disease but our doctors have treated her and now she is on a very low dose of steroid (about $15 per month) that keeps her skin looking perfect and pink! Our goal is to eventually wean her off the steroid completely but it needs to be on hand in case she has a flare up. Ruby is healing nicely as you can see by the updated pictures. She also has gone into foster care and lives with 2 other dogs. Her foster family LOVES her! She is a sweet girl and is looking for her forever home.
